RYA Diesel Engines

The RYA Diesel Engines course is designed to equip sailors and powerboat users with the essential knowledge needed to prevent and manage machinery breakdowns at sea. Mechanical failures are one of the most common causes of emergency callouts, and this course aims to empower you with the skills to avoid these situations and to resolve them if they occur. Whether you’re a crew member on a racing yacht, a cruising sailboat, or a powerboat, this course will extend your maritime skills and enhance your value on board.

Additionally, the knowledge gained from this course is beneficial for those pursuing the International Certificate of Competence (ICC), further solidifying your preparedness for sailing in international waters.

Course Delivery

This one-day, in-person course is delivered over 8 hours at our training rooms in Mooloolaba. The course includes a workbook and upon successful completion, you will be issued with the RYA Diesel Engine Certificate.
