RYA Power Boat Level 2

The RYA Powerboat Level 2 course is designed for those who wish to confidently and safely handle small powerboats such as RIBs (rigid inflatable boats), sports boats, and small launches. Ideal for both leisure and professional use, this course provides a comprehensive introduction to powerboating, covering essential skills and knowledge for anyone who needs to operate a powerboat, whether for recreation, work, or as part of another activity such as sailing, rescue operations, or watersports support.

What You Will Learn with RYA Power Boat Level 2 Course

Throughout this two-day course, you will learn and practice a wide range of skills and techniques essential for safe and effective powerboat operation, including:

Boat Handling

Master the fundamentals of powerboat handling in various conditions, including mooring, coming alongside, and high-speed maneuvers.

Navigation and Safety
