Start your sailing journey and gain the skills needed to confidently skipper a sloop-rigged keelboat, ranging from 20 to 27 feet, by day in light to moderate conditions (up to 15 knots). Learn essential sailing terminology, the parts and functions of a sailboat, helm commands, basic sail trim, points of sail, buoyage, seamanship, and safety protocols, including navigation rules to avoid collisions and hazards. While auxiliary power operation is not required, you’ll develop a strong understanding of core sailing principles.
