Let us design a program that will enhance your boat handling skills on your own multi hull with a private and personal approach. This practical course is designed to build your safety awareness personalized to your own requirements and vessel, build close quarter skills such as berthing and mooring techniques, plus build confidence in your own ability to take command. Improve on tacking and gybing, explore MOB techniques, improve your speed through better understanding of sail trim, and expand on weather, electronic navigation systems and chartwork. We can take you from your backyard to the Bay and onto open offshore waters and beyond, safely!

Draw on our experienced instructors skills and knowledge and find out what a boat really can do and what it can’t.

The friendly and relaxed atmosphere allowed us to learn without any stress. Being able to have a go without excessive instruction at times to make our own mistakes was very beneficial. We also find the way SSA teaches and gives feedback very gentle and enhances the learning experience no end. Dave and Wendy Milway, Caboolture.

The theory and practice was all very good. It has given me allot of confidence to have a go myself on my own boat and importantly it’s shown me what I should be practicing. I’ve been able to pick up some practice techniques which I should be able to now use to increase and consolidate my skill level. Tim Crane, Brisbane.
