About Us
If you are eager to start sailing or an experienced sailor looking to build on your skills, Sunshine Sailing Australia is exactly what you’re looking for. We teach sailing to people from 7 to 90 years old, in keelboats, catamarans, and yachts from beginners to Yachtmaster. All completed courses include a RYA of American Sailing certificate, recognised nationally and internationally.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that others would recognize the great things we do, but that is exactly why you are here. You may not have noticed what you were doing, but one of our team did. As for the catch, there is not, just come enjoy a sail, meet new people, and know that we are thankful for you doing something great.
What do I need to bring?
- Camera: Capture the stunning views over the
- Dress according to the weather: Choose light, comfortable clothing suitable for potential breezes, especially if you plan to be on deck.
- Footwear: Wear shoes with non-marking soles.
- Sunscreen: Evenings can still be sunny, so protect your skin.
- Jacket: It can get cool in the evening, especially during certain seasons, so bring a light jacket or wrap.
- Sunglasses: Essential for eye protection from the sun, and polarized lenses can enhance visibility on the water.
- Seasickness tablets: If you are prone to motion sickness, it’s a good idea to bring these, though many cruises are on calm waters.
- BYO food and drinks: Some cruises are BYO (bring your own), so check if you can bring your own snacks and beverages.
- A smile: Be ready to enjoy the experience!

What happens if the weather is bad?
If the weather does not allow for a sail, a notification will be emailed and posted on our social media. You will be able to reachedule.
Where to we meet?
We will meet at our offices located next to the Mooloolaba Marina main office. The address is 33-45 Parkyn Parade, Mooloolaba, 4557.
How long will be on the water?
We do have some pre-departure safety information and briefings, but we will have you on the water in 15-20 minutes after arrival.
