During the course, you will be taught how to deliver the RYA practical courses; Start Yachting, Competent Crew and Day Skipper. You will be given the opportunity to practice your new found skills on the water.

As an RYA Instructor it is your responsible for the management of the yacht, therefore the course includes people skills and people management techniques, time management, communication, presentation, lesson planning, teaching techniques and debriefing skills.

All candidates must have a full working knowledge to RYA Day Skipper level both theoretical and practical, all candidates must understand the RYA syllabus thoroughly. Keep in-mind that this is not a sailing course, this is a course to teach you how to teach, so please come well prepared.

By the end of this course the successful RYA Cruising Instructor will be able to undertake preparing and executing instruction both theory and practical to RYA Day Skipper.

Successful completion of this course means that you can apply for employment with any RYA recognized sailing school worldwide with confidence.

Course Cost?

The course cost is $2195 for 5 days including the moderation. Please note a minimum 25% deposit is required at the time of booking and the balance to be paid prior to the course commencing.
